After 10 1/2 weeks the beard has gained bulk and a little more length. Just over 3 weeks until target date is reached, but I may well go on letting it grow after that date.

Trying for greater length. Only very minor trimming on goatee and moustache for past 2 weeks. Moustache now reaching the bottom of upper lip in the centre and touching the lower lip at the sides.

Progress by the end of week 6 has not been as good as I had hoped owing to the need to even up the right side of the goatee with the left. The moustache, though, has not been touched and continues to gain length.

At the end of week 8 no spectacular gains, but I think I have made up for the set back at the end of week 6 when I had to trim back the right side of the goatee. The beard now seems to be developing some waves or kinks which I will have to try to control.

My 2009 Beard

By the end of 2008 my beardwas becoming a bit wild and unmanageable due to the increased presence of waves and kinks. So I decided to trim it back. This, give or take a little, is, I think, its optimum length.
